Norwich Union surprised the market and the City when it bought ITT London & Edinburgh. Tim Collison spoke to GI managing director Patrick Snowball about how the company will be integrated in to Norwich Union's structure.
When Norwich Union bought ITT London & Edinburgh at the end of lastyear, certain quarters of the City were less than impressed. Analysts,
quite understandably, questioned the wisdom of a company that was
predominantly a life assurer exposing itself further to the general
insurance market.
Patrick Snowball, managing director, general insurance at Norwich Union,
and the man who the led the acquisition, was well prepared for this sort
