Scottish Equitable in restructure to boost position in market.

Scottish Equitable has restructured into three separate companies and
has changed its name to Aegon UK. The Scottish Life Company became part of
the Aegon Group in 1993.

David Henderson, chief executive of Scottish Equitable, has taken up the
same position at Aegon. Likewise, Charles Monaghan, retains his position
as non-executive chairman.

The newly formed companies under the Aegon UK banner are: Scottish
Equitable, Scottish Equitable Asset Management and Scottish Equitable
International Holdings.
