NIG has announced that Phil Bunker has been appointed deputy managingdirector, and will become managing director when John Carrier leaves in
Spring 2001. Mr Bunker has been with NIG for 11 years and is currently
director of the personal lines division. Mr Carrier said: "I became
managing director at a time when we faced some difficult conditions. The
task is now complete and the company is superbly positioned to benefit
from the upturn in the market. As such, I feel the time is right for me to
