An average firm of lawyers charges £90 an hour for the services of a
legal executive. This cost rises to £100 for a solicitor and £120 for a
partner, with VAT on top. In most cases, the client also has to pay for
disbursements such as court fees, and big mark-ups are charged for
complicated cases such as medical negligence.
