Online bank Egg, has launched Egg Insure, offering motor insurancefrom a panel of insurers.
Underwritten by Allianz Cornhill, Equity Red Star, Groupama, Highway,
Link, Norwich Union, Provident, Prudential and Royal & SunAlliance, the
site is scheduled to offer household insurance by September and travel
insurance by 2001.
Cox Insurance is administering the site, which features quotation engines,
payment facilities and policy administration.
Set up by Prudential, Egg Insure has denied reports that
