RSA reveals UK weather costs will hit £50m
RSA has calculated that it is facing a £40m impact on its book of business from the UK rain during June.
According to the insurer, the wettest June on record has caused this net loss across its UK household, motor and commercial property portfolios.
The provider added that it is expecting a £10m bill from rainfall so far in July.
In addition, RSA said that the net loss to the group in relation to the two earthquakes in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy in May was estimated to be around £35m.
