Royal & SunAlliance UK Commercial is to cancel a number of non-broker
agencies at the end of November. The servicing of small agency customers
will be transferred to RSA's Business Insurance Direct service
proposition. Brendan McManus, marketing and distribution director of UK
Commercial, said: "By appropriately segmenting our customer database in
this way, we are able to ensure we provide the highest service levels
through the most appropriate distribution method."

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
