Axa launches Broker Future training programme
The scheme will see trainees attend seminars in Paris along with the winner of Broker Apprentice.
Axa has set up a training programme for young brokers aimed at helping them to prepare for the future of the insurance industry.
The programme is set to feature two three day seminars in Paris on 2 to 4 April and 12 to 14 November 2018 and, according to the provider, forms part of the wider Axa strategy of developing industry talent and making the company more resilient for the future.
Delegates on the course, which is available to some of Axa’s broker relations, will sit alongside the winner of the Insurance Age Broker Apprentice series which premiers on 2 November.
The scheme, Broker Future, is accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Axa said it will bring together a host of promising intermediaries and focuses on a number of topics impacting the insurance industry, including the role of technology, flexible working and managing millennials.
Innovation
The insurer further detailed that the scheme is also aimed at ensuring tomorrow’s leaders have the confidence and experience to take the insurance market into the future. The programme has been designed in order for brokers to gain an insight into innovation in insurance and the possibilities that InsurTech can bring to the sector.
Brendan McCafferty, CEO, Axa Insurance, intermediated and direct, commented: “The Broker Future programme is aimed at engaging with young brokers to get them thinking about the future of our industry.
“The insurance industry is undergoing great change and may look very different in the next 20 to 30 years. We want to work closely with the insurance brokers of tomorrow so we are both ready for what lies ahead.”
Brokers who wish to apply for the scheme should refer to the Axa website or speak to their Axa relationship manager.
