I think the front cover says it all. For many brokers, moving into the online world is a leap of faith and not one that should be taken lightly. But there is momentum. Every insurer executive is talking about e-trading and they’re desperate for you, the broker, to take it up as the cost benefits for them are obvious. But are they obvious to you? What is in it for brokers?

Well, that’s why we have a technology focus this month. It’s not for us to tell brokers what they should do with their businesses, but we feel we have a duty to inform you of what is going on in the wider market and, at the moment, the buzzword is technology. Regardless of whether that technology is used to trade with insurers or clients, to market to the customer base or to speed up and automate the more mundane processes within a broker business, it’s the word on everyone’s lips.

Applied updates on commercial push

Applied Systems has confirmed Arch Insurance is about to enter the pilot phase of onboarding and will be live on the Applied Epic broker management system in April, with Iprism and Ark to follow and more promised in 2024.
