Aviva launches guide to tackle commercial underinsurance

A 2014 survey revealed 177 cases where firms where underinsured by an average of £486,000.

Aviva has launched a guide to address the problem of commercial underinsurance and highlighted a survey that revealed 177 cases where businesses were underinsured by an average of just under half-a-million pounds.

The provider said the booklet aims to help firms understand the importance of having the right amount of insurance and what the implications are if they don't.

The guide is available to brokers and businesses and explains what the average clause is and the impact it has on the way
