Bogus claims manager gets sent down
Man jailed for 12 months after pursuing fake personal injury claims and pocketing £24,359 from Travelers.
A man has been sent to prison for a year after making bogus personal injury claims on behalf of a group of unknowing schoolboys.
Samir Kahn, also known as Waheed Rafiq, aged 44 (DOB 25/07/70), was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court for pocketing £24,359 paid out by Travelers, who insured the West Mercia Police vehicle, in relation to the claims.
The group were in a taxi and were involved in a low speed, low impact collision with a West Mercia Police vehicle in June 2011.
