FCA bosses to forego annual bonus
Decision made due to ongoing inquiry into life insurance gaffe.
Martin Wheatley and eight colleagues on the executive committee of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) are to defer their annual bonuses.
According to Sky News, Wheatley, chief executive at the regulator, and his peers have made the decision in the wake of the ongoing probe into a briefing with the Telegraph earlier this year which saw UK insurers’ share prices plummet.
Simon Davis of law firm Clifford Chance is leading an independent inquiry into the watchdog’s handling of an announcement
