Biba welcomes CMA's private motor proposals

Trade body says report is encouraging and recommended changes will benefit consumers.

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has welcomed the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) proposed changes to the private motor insurance market.

The organisation said it is “broadly supportive” of the five proposed measures, which include better information for consumers about their rights following an accident and a recommended ban on price parity agreements between price comparison websites and insurers.
