Broker-only insurer unveils specialist commercial vehicle and motor panel consolidation propositions.

ERS has launched a specialist commercial vehicle product and a motor panel consolidation proposition, its first new developments since rebranding from Equity Red Star in April.

The provider will be showcasing the new lines at the British Insurance Brokers' Association conference in Manchester later this week.

According to the broker-only insurer, the specialist commercial vehicle product has been developed for customers who present unusual and specialist risks.

Its can cover a range of risks from mobile catering vehicles and converted commercial vehicles to nursery play-buses and even specialist-use 100 ton vehicles.

ERS confirmed that it has also developed the product to cater for commercial vehicles carrying hazardous goods such as fireworks or asbestos.

Consolidation
The motor panel consolidation proposition is focused on allowing brokers to consolidate all of their motor risks into one place.

The facility is open to any broker with an ERS agency who is looking to consolidate motor portfolios between £25,000 and £2,000,000.

ERS said it will consolidate books across all insurers and MGAs and will also provide commitments about how the business is dealt with at rollover, and at the following renewal.

Sam Hudson, commercial director at ERS, said: "We know that there is a need for a focused and committed underwriter in the specialist motor segment who understands what brokers and customers in those markets need.

"Both of these facilities highlight our deep expertise in the broker motor market."
