Positive outcome for FCA review into home and travel claims

Watchdog is likely to recommend no rule changes in the area.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has revealed the “broadly positive” initial findings of its thematic review on household and travel insurance claims handling.

The FCA is today discussing its initial findings with a range of firms, trade bodies and consumer groups.

Based on the work done so far, the FCA has stated that it will not propose any new requirements or rule changes for firms in this area.

The regulator found that 65% of household insurance customers were satisfied with the way
