FCA states it has never used private investigators

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has stated that it has never used private investigators.

It comes as MPs gave the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca) a deadline of this Monday (9 September) to publish the list of 102 'blue chip' clients that have reported hired rogue private investigators. 

Included on the list are reportedly ten insurance companies.

Responding to a Freedom of Information request from Insurance Age, the regulator said: "Following a search of our paper and electronic records I am writing to tell you that we do not hold the information you are seeking.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin
