Nexus launches new Lloyd's trade credit agency

Nexus Underwriting Management has launched a new Lloyd’s managing general agency focusing on trade credit indemnity business.

The new agency is the result of the completed purchase of Novae Syndicates’ Credit Indemnity and Financial Services (CIFS) business, and is called Nexus CIFS.

Existing CIFS management Bob Lilley, Sue Morley and Neil Payton will lead Nexus CIFS, and 11 further underwriters and assistants have moved across to the new venture.

All renewal rights to the existing CIFS portfolio have also moved to the new agency.

Underwriting capacity for the business will be provided by Liberty Syndicate 4472, Novae
