Trimble warns businesses of grey fleet danger

A survey by Trimble has revealed that 60% of business drivers are unaware that they need to insure their car for business travel if they drive their own vehicle on behalf of their company.

The telematics provider warned that employees across the UK could be leaving themselves and their companies exposed if they fail to understand their responsibility when using their own cars on company business.

It added that there was a growing trend for firms to operate a "grey fleet" due to the cost of managing a fleet of company vehicles becoming unsustainable for many UK organisations.
