"Give me six months" Blanc asks brokers
Axa Commercial boss, Amanda Blanc, has asked brokers to give her six months to prove that she will genuinely empower her local underwriters to make decisions.
Talking to Insurance Age following the appointment of former Powerplace chief Matthew Reed as MD of intermediary and direct, Ms Blanc hit back at charges that brokers had heard the ‘empowerment’ mantra before.
“It’s the first time I’ve said that I will empower underwriters so come back in six months and ask me again,” she said.
“We are going to make these changes work,” she said referring to the amalgamation of Axa Commercial’s branches, Specialist Markets and Solutions and Distribution
