Quinn outlined growth plans to brokers days before regulator stepped in
Quinn Insurance wrote to brokers to outline plans to grow its UK business days before it was banned from writing new business in the UK, according to the Irish Independent.
As reported on broking.co.uk, the High Court appointed joint provisional administrators to Quinn Insurance and directed the insurer to cease writing new business in the UK on 30 March.
The Irish Independent has published details of a letter sent by Quinn Insurance commercial director Richard Stafford to UK brokers on 25 March.
In the letter, Mr Stafford claims Quinn Insurance has "successfully developed and grown" its commercial book in the UK, having "diversified substantially" from its initial
