Report shows UK business insolvencies down 15% year-on-year in February

The latest Insolvency Index from information services company Experian has revealed a year-on-year fall in business insolvencies during February.

The total number of insolvencies fell by 15.1% to 1,834 during February 2010 compared to the same month last year and brings the rate of insolvencies down to 0.10%.

According to the company, while the rate is up on last month's figure of 0.08%, January has in previous years been a quiet month for insolvencies and the figures still follow an overall downward trend.

FCA warns on Tempcover clone

The Financial Conduct Authority has issued a warning of fraudsters trying to scam people by pretending to be short-term car insurance specialist broker Tempcover including on TikTok.
