Tower eyes £100m GWP launching buy-and-build strategy with first deal

Tower Insurance Brokers has bought Wilmslow-based Riskworks to kick off its acquisition plans, with the goal of becoming a £100m gross written premium national broker.

Lytham-headquartered Tower secured a multi-million-pound growth funding facility from private credit investor TDC last December. At the time, the broker reported its GWP at around £40m.

Riskworks adds more than £5m to the firm which has committed to striking more deals as it highlighted the ambition will also be achieved by “continued organic growth of more than 20% annually”.

Founded in 2017, Tower has grown from a one-person operation to 52 people.
