Biba and Markel AI Academy opens for applications

AI central core processing and transferring data between different units

Members of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association can now apply to join the founding cohort of the AI Academy being offered in partnership with Markel.

Plans to launch the course were revealed at the trade body’s conference in Manchester this May.

The academy is designed to help brokers develop practical skills to use AI, and the first cohort will take place on 14–15 October at Markel’s offices in Leeds.

It will bring together a group for two days of practical learning, networking and collaboration.

The pair confirmed participants will also help shape the future development of the academy before the programme is made available more widely to Biba
