Zurich has moved to reassure brokers that its recent affinity tie-up with easyMoney, to provide a no-frills internet-based car insurance offering, does not represent a shift of emphasis in its distribution strategy.

Zurich will underwrite the products, due to be launched in late spring, which will be fronted by the easyMoney brand, part of the Stelios Haji-Ioannou empire famous for its easyJet airline.

Mark Winlow, managing director of Zurich's personal insurance business, told Professional
