Short-term motor insurance specialist Dayinsure grew turnover by 3.8% in 2025, but operating and post-tax profits both fell on the back of increased costs while losses at its parent company nearly tripled.

Turnover at Dayinsure, which works across car, van and motorhome insurance, rose to £26.1m.

However, in a filing at Companies House, the Top 100 UK broker acknowledged while trading levels improved, “increased investment in marketing pressures more than offset this growth”.

Administrative expenses were up by £4.8m year-on-year, at £16.7m.

Accordingly, operating profit declined 29% to £9.3m as profit after tax fell by the same percentage to £9.5m.

Headcount at the business also ticked down, by two
