Drake: claims washed up?
Q With regard to Drake going into liquidation, can you tell me what is likely to happen if one of our clients needs to file a claim?
The liquidators have confirmed that the current motor certificatesare still legal and comply with the Road Traffic Act 1988.
However, in the event of a claim, only 90% of "own damage" is covered
above the policy excess. This would mean the policy excess would be
applied to any own damage repair costs and then the 90% settlement would
be applied.
There is still, however, 100% cover for third party liability claims.
