Hero Insurance Services, the broking arm of Highway Insurance Holdings, has purchased 32,000 private car policies from BGL's Local Broker. Reportedly costing £2m, the purchase marks another significant step in positioning Hero as a leading player in the personal lines distribution sector, according to Hero's managing director Paul Cosh. BGL - formerly known as the Budget Group - is set to receive more of Hero's funds after the broker announced that it would also be appointing BGL's subsidiary
