Andrew Paddick, director general of the Institute of Insurance
Brokers, has told Professional Broking that he believes over 90% of the
broker market will join the IIB when it converts to a joint trade body and
regulatory organisation next April.


Last month, the institute sent a questionnaire to all UK brokers in order
to find out who they want to be regulated by after the dissolution of the
Insurance Brokers Regulatory Council on 30 April 2001.


The survey asked brokers whether they would prefer to
