Since setting up Cadogan Insurance Services with Terry Hill in 1992, David Oatley has maintained a specialist knowledge in property, which has seen the company achieve steady growth. Angela Faherty reports.

David Oatley and Terry Hill established specialist property insurance
broker Cadogan Insurance Services in 1992, when the property market faced
incredible challenges. Since then, the company has flourished and
currently has 14 staff and a gross premium income of £8.2m.


The company started when Mr Oatley and Mr Hill, now managing director and
director of Cadogan, respectively, effected a management buyout from the
publicly quoted property company for which they were working. Mr Oatley
says he felt
