MOFS MD Gibbons on why it chose Adler Fairways over PE or the big consolidators

Andrew Gibbons, managing director at Mason Owen Financial Services

Mason Owen Financial Services managing director Andrew Gibbons speaks for the first time about its takeover by Adler Fairways. And tells Jonathan Swift culture and future proofing trumped cash when it came to choosing a new partner, and that the type of tea available to staff post-merger was also a consideration.

It is a tried and tested response from any broker that has been taken over to say post-deal it is ‘business as usual’. And that if there are any changes staff would be front and centre if anything is considered.

However, whilst this claim might sometimes raise an eyebrow, for Liverpool-headquartered Mason Owen Financial Services that ‘BAU’ message seems to be definitely being borne out based on the early days of its life as part of Adler Fairways.
