Covéa revamps private car policy

Insurer has used behavioural economics to redesign policy documents in order to aid customer understanding.

Covéa Insurance has redesigned its policy documents for private car cover with the aim of making it easier to understand and more appealing for customers to read.

The insurer said it had used behavioural economics techniques to identify the reasons why customers avoid reading their insurance documents, and used this information to redesign its own policy documentation.

According to Covéa the changes are intended to encourage customers to take a little time to understand the product and cover
