Crash fraudster sentenced to four years
‘Cash for crash’ ringleaders get custodial sentences following involvement in 83 collisions.
The leader of a ‘cash for crash' scam has been sentenced to four years in prison and his stooge driver 21 months after they were found guilty of targeting motorists in the hope of causing collisions and profiting from personal injury claims.
Nasir Mahmood, 32, of Morpeth Close, Aniela Chaudhry, 39, of Alan Place, both in Reading, were convicted in June for their roles in seven collisions across the Thames Valley and Metropolitan Police areas and the organisation of a further 76 collisions.
