Grant Ellis, managing director of The Broker Network, advised brokers
to reassess their relationships with suppliers.


"When you are selective about who you deal with, remember how the insurers
select you. Be nice to underwriters - they can help you," he said,
pointing out underwriters are offered twice as many risks as two years
ago.


"You have about 20 seconds to persuade the underwriter to consider your
submission. Call first - you have to sell the risk," he advised.
