Conviction is growing among insurer chief executives that 2006 will be a hard market despite over half of brokers polled by Professional Broking either undecided or considering it will not.
Dane Douetil, chief executive of Brit Insurance Holdings, cited current hardening rates in fleet and property as indicators, adding that rates in the London Market will be hard from January with the regions following by mid 2006 (see Interview, pp20-22).
