Primary Broker Services has introduced a property owners' product and is available for commercial, buy-to-let, residential and lettings agents. Launched on 1 November, the product is available to PBS' network of around 250 brokers.

PBS is targeting risks, including industrial estates, industrial units, commercial premises used for mid-to-high risk manufacturing, assembly and warehouses.

A PBS statement said that each case will be individually underwritten and brokers will be given access to specialist underwriters. Andy Jones, UK sales manager at PBS, said: "PBS is committed to building relationships and supporting continued growth, based on service, quality and exclusivity." The product will be underwritten by Primary's panel of Axa, Royal & SunAlliance and Primary Insurance, part of the Primary Group, which takes the remaining 4% of the risk.

Simon Taylor, marketing director of PBS Holdings, said PBS had always been able to provide property owners' cover but had now introduced a more bespoke version after gaining feedback from brokers. The move follows the launch of a motor fleet product in September. He added PBS will introduce products for motor trade, contractors and liability within the next nine to 12 months. Taylor said he expected the motor trade product to launch in the first quarter of 2007.

Primary Broker Services is part of PBS Holdings and is based in Birmingham, Harrogate, Bristol, Glasgow and London.
