Q: Our brokerage has internet access and, for security, we use
anti-virus software. I recently heard about internet firewalls. What are
they?


The internet, like any other society, is plagued with those who enjoy
disrupting life. A firewall is a system, or group of systems, whose
purpose is to keep these people out of your network.


At a basic level they enforce an access control policy between networks,
protecting against unauthenticated log ins from the outside world.


More elaborate firewalls block

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1
