West country broker Rowett Insurance Broking Group has acquired Ken
Keemar (Insurance Services) and opened an office in Truro.


Former owner Ken Keemar has been kept on as a consultant and both his
staff retained in the new, high-street office. The Keemar name will be
retained for the short term but eventually changed to Rowett. Rowett
Insurance now has five offices spread across Devon and Cornwall.

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
