QBE European Operations has acquired MBP Holdings, the holding company of UK underwriting agency, Minibus Plus, for an undisclosed sum, subject to regulatory approval.
MBP produces around £4m in gross premium income from specialist minibus business and coach fleet insurance through 4000 brokers throughout the UK.
The acquisition of MBP, which is complementary to the business underwritten by Ensign, QBE's UK motor arm, is designed to consolidate QBE's position in the UK commercial motor market.
