CETA has urged brokers to sell identity theft insurance to consumers to protect against the growing risk of ID fraud. The Financial Services Authority said card losses from internet, phone and mail fraud had totalled £290.5m in 2007. CETA managing director David Quick said: "A good policy can provide peace of mind and will assist victims of identity fraud."
