NIG's personal division has passed the one million policyholder mark for the first time in its history. Adrian Harris, the division's director, commented: "NIG recognises that this achievement would not have been possible without the support of the brokers who have entrusted NIG with looking after the insurance needs of their customers." At the end of 2002, the division's gross written premium totalled £287m. The majority of the division's policyholders come from motor, with over 827,000
