Does anyone care about the ease with which overseas insurers from jurisdictions with less stringent regulation can set up shop in the UK? Stuart Reid asks
It is disappointing to see the rise and rise of new insurers coming into our market from overseas.
Don’t get me wrong, I am keen on a competitive market place, as too are the FCA. My concern is the apparent ease with which new – and less regulated – entities, with no apparent credit-rating, can simply set up shop in the UK.
