As we move into 2006, brokers and intermediaries are under even greater pressure, and the challenges to our distribution have never been higher.

The general insurance intermediary distribution channel, often referred to as 'the broker' channel, is a vibrant, dynamic and changing market, almost unrecognisable from the market I joined many years ago, and has changed especially rapidly over the last ten years.

Today, it continues to represent a very important sector of the financial services industry
