It may be wrong but I think many people in the industry are underestimating the strength and determination of the new breed of brokers post 14 January.

One common message emerging is that brokers will have to adapt to survive - almost as if they are some exotic beast that is being hunted into extinction.

However, I am sure there are few brokers out there who feel that they have any similarity to a Dodo. They may bemoan the fact that the direct and large composite insurers make it very difficult

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
