Axa makes 33 UK roles redundant

Insurer says brokers won't be affected as roles servicing UK brokers move to India.

Thirty-three roles have been made redundant at Axa UK's Lytham St Annes office following a move of 35 back office finance roles to India.

According to the insurer the 33 staff left the company at the end of 2015.

A spokesman for Axa said that the back office finance operations service brokers in the UK.

He stated that the changes would not have an impact on brokers as the majority of them were already served by the Pune office in India.

In addition, Axa is moving another 35 finance operations
