Gable records a pre-tax loss of £2.4m for H1 2015

Company said underlying insurance profit was up 11% to £6.3m for the first six months.

European non-life insurance company Gable made a pre-tax loss of £2.4m for the first half of 2015 according to its unaudited results.

The unrated Lichtenstein-based insurer recorded a pre-tax profit of £2.5m for the same period a year earlier.

However, the company said its underlying insurance profit was up 11% to £6.3m for the six months to the end of June set against £5.7m for the same period in 2014.
