Lords appoints special committee on Insurance Bill

Committee has called for evidence on the Bill.

The House of Lords has appointed a special public bill committee on the Insurance Bill.

The Insurance Bill was introduced by government with the aim of updating the 100 year-old rules governing contracts between businesses and insurers.

The committee has published a call for evidence asking for views on the Bill and any other matter that could be considered relevant by 27 November.

The Bill tackles a range of issues including making new provision about insurance contracts and amending the Third
