Covéa appoints Bird to head personal lines underwriting

Phil Bird previously worked at MIB, IFB and Groupama.

Covéa Insurance has appointed Phil Bird as the new head of its personal lines underwriting department.

Bird has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years and has held roles at the Motor Insurance Bureau and the Insurance Fraud Bureau, as well as most recently running his own brokerage business.

He previously worked at Groupama for seven years.

At Covéa, his responsibilities will include developing the company's personal lines underwriting business, working closely with its distribution
