FCA boss sees salary rise to £460,000

Watchdog's annual report reveals £30,000 pay jump.

Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) chief executive Martin Wheatley saw his basic salary increase £30,000 to £460,000 in 2014.

The figure was revealed in the FCA's annual report for 2013/14 which was published today. He also received £109,000 (2013: £112,000) in relation to the provision of a car and driver.

The report also examines some of the key pieces of work undertaken by the FCA in its first twelve months of existence.
