Credit hire body warns that cost savings should not go into insurers' profits.

The Credit Hire Organisation (CHO) has called on the Competition and Market Authority (CMA) to ensure that motor insurance premiums are not reduced to the point that competition is removed from the market.

The organisation was responding to the CMA's proposed changes to the private motor market.

The CHO stated that it welcomed the CMA’s conclusion that consumers have a right to a replacement vehicle if they are involved in a road traffic accident that is not their fault.
