Cash for crash group walk away with suspended sentences
A group of fraudsters who staged a stag party minibus crash and claimed £134,000 for "whiplash injuries" have walked free.
The Mirror has reported that 13 people received suspended sentences after being found to have faked a smash between a mini bus and another car while pretending to drive to a stag near Newcastle.
After being sentenced, one of the offenders, Richard Oliver, 25, was photographed flashing a wad of money outside the crown court.
Aviva investigated the injury claims and reported the incident to police after they found the driver of the Peugeot car, Ben LeBlond, and girlfriend Marnie Simpson, 21, knew
